SBI PO 2017 Syllabus and Exam Pattern
SBI PO exam consists of the following phases: (A) Preliminary Exam This exam consists of 100 Marks and is of 1 hour duration. The candidate has to obtain not less minimum marks required to pass the test. (B) Main Exam The main exam consists of objective as well as subjective test. The objective test consists of 200 marks for objective and 30 minutes for subjective. There is a limitation of attempts in this section. Applicant can appear only four time. These attempts vary from category to category. Attempts (i) General Category - 4 (ii) Genereal(PwD) - 7 (iii) OBC - 7 (iv) OBC (PwD) - 7 (v) SC/SC(PwD)/ST/ST(PwD) - No Restrictions. (C) Group Discussions and Interview After passing Main exam we have to go through group disscusions and inteview. Syllabus of Preliminary Exam The preliminary exam consists of 100 Questions and 1 hour time duration. There will be three sections of exams: Section Total Questions Marks English 30 30 Quantitative Aptitude 35 35 Reasoning Ability 35 35 Total 100 100 English section contains vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Error detection, Jumbled sentences, Deriving conclusions, sentance correction and Passage correction. Quantitative section contains questions from Number system, simplification, Roots & Averages, surds& Indices, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, problems on trains, time and distance, Allegations and mixtures, volume and surface area. Reasoning section contains verbal as well as non verbal questions. Questions are on blood relations, seating arrangement, Series completion, decision making and classfication. SBI PO 2017 Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Main Exam In main 200 marks will be of onjective type and 50 marks of Subjective. Its sections are General English, Genaral Awareness, Quantitude Apptitude, Reasining, Computer Awareness. Section Total Questions Marks English 35 40 Reasoning and Computer Apptitude 45 60 Data Analysis and Interpretation 35 60 General Economics/Banking Awareness 40 40 Total 155 200 Data Interpretation In this section the questions asked are based on graphs, pie charts etc. Descriptive In this section is basically of english. It may contain letter writing or passage writing. Negative Marking For each wrong answer 0.25th marks will be deducted. Marking Scheme Total Score = Sum of Scores of all the sections.
