Terror strikes Spain

Terror strikes Spain, killing 13 and injuring 100’s, first in Barcelona, then in Cambrils. Terror attacks have increased rapidly after the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ‘ISIS’ warned the world of a ‘Global Jihad‘.

Cambrils, a coastal town around 120km from Barcelona became the second target of terror attack earlier today.

Authorities are of the view that the attack is linked to the terrorist attack that took place in Barcelona on Thursday, when a terrorist drove a high speed rented van into pedestrians in Las Ramblas, that killed 13 people and injured more than 100.

Authorities are also trying to figure out a possible connection between the two attacks to an earlier explosion that destroyed a house in Alcanar, killing one person and wounding a few more.

Alcanar is around 200km (124 miles) from Barcelona and 90km (56 miles) from Cambrils.

Police is of the view that explosives were being prepared at the house that got destroyed in Alcanar.

Isis has claimed responsibility for the deadly rampage in Las Ramblas, but this is yet to be verified by the authorities.

The Spainish poilce and special unit forces have started a massive anti-terror operation on Friday after the suspected Islamist militant drove a van into crowds in Barcelona. Police claim to have foiled another bid of series of terror attacks and claim that the terrorists were planning multiple strikes.
